Hello, my name is Shirley Rowan. You may know me as the Daughter of Francis W. Brown, Real Estate Broker and Manager of South Gate Shopping Center before it became Westfield Siesta Key. My Mother, Mary P. Brown, was also a Real Estate Broker. My Parents worked hand and hand with Honesty and Integrity, which they passed along to me. I grew up in the Real Estate business where my Dad sold most of thee Orange Grove Lots which became what we now know as South Gate. Together with King and Smith, my Dad helped develop this vibrant Community and the Historic South Gate Community Center which is tucked away along the Phillippi Creak.
For 39 years I have followed in my Parents footsteps and have been a Real Estate Broker in Sarasota. Because Real Estate is one of the largest purchases families will make in their lifetime, it is a very challenging and sensitive time for them. That is where my expertise comes in. Hello, my name is Richard Rowan. I am proud to say I was born and raised in a 5 generational house right here in Sarasota, Florida. I love looking at old photos that my grandfather took of the orange groves along a one lane, dirt Proctor Road. Sarasota sure has grown since, but I think of it as Disney World.
